The charity a 501 (c)3 public charity

Was founded in 2000 by Dr. Henry Tai a microbiologist, Oncologist and Hematologist. We operated a small cancer clinic and treated patients from the Waimanalo Health Center. After the untimely passing of Dr. Tai, we became The Hawaii Children’s Foundation, we had after school programs in middle schools, where we created various academies for students. We taught a media Academy where students learned about media and how to influence others using creative audio and video. The students created their own public service campaign that focused on subjects that they choose. They created public service spots that focused on anti-bullying and health diets. We created an academy that taught self-esteem and was based on Napoleon Hills book Think and Grow Rich. After the 2020 Pandemic we could no longer go on school campuses. We became The Compass Foundation, our mission is to navigate the future of charitable giving using innovative tools, such as long form video programs in order to tell the unique story of selective non-profits.
